Radius Recycling is currently hiring a Senior HRIS Analyst in Portland, OR. Radius Recycling is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of recycled metal products in North America with operating facilities located in 25 states, Puerto Rico, and Western Canada. RDUS has 7 deep water export facilities located on both the East and West Coasts and in Hawaii and Puerto Rico. The Company’s integrated operating platform also includes a variety of recycling services and retail stores which sell serviceable used auto parts from salvaged vehicles. The Company’s steel manufacturing operations produce finished steel products, including rebar, wire rod, and other specialty products.
About the Role:
The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for providing support to HR Shared Services and the overall Radius organization, through custom report development, creation of HR analytics, dashboards, and presentations, as well as maintenance and support of the HCM system and various HR applications.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain integrity of the HCM database.
- Assist employees and managers with access to the HCM system.
- Create and maintain a variety of HR reports.
- Partner with HR leadership to create analytics to drive performance, manage risk, and enable strategic partnership with business operations.
- Maintain HR related dashboards.
- Troubleshoot system issues and work with vendor to resolve.
- Create and maintain procedures, documentation, and training material.
- Manage HRIS work queues.
- Project team member for a variety of HR initiatives.
- Perform functional testing of system enhancements.
- Perform a variety of audits.
- Complete various surveys and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, as well as other relevant Federal and State laws and regulations related to HR.
- Provide high-volume tier 2 customer service to employees, former employees, HRBP’s, etc. relating to HR systems.
- Special project work as needed for a variety of HR initiatives.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:
Ability to: lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently; sit for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; keyboard for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours per day; be mobile within an office setting; photocopy and scan documents occasionally; communicate by speech and hearing in person and/or by phone in a businesslike, professional manner. Visual acuity needed to perform close detail work for preparation and proofreading of business correspondence, preparing reports and presentations, and operating a computer terminal.

This position involves phone, written, and face-to-face contact with all levels of employees from entry level clerks to executive officers. Communication ranges from answering simple questions to troubleshooting complex system issues. External contacts by phone, in writing or face-to-face include all levels of employees, leadership, government agencies, attorneys, consultants, or other HR professionals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or Data Analytics preferred or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 3-5 years of HRIS experience with emphasis in relational database management and data analytics.
- 2 plus years in a customer service role strongly preferred.
- Results oriented, with excellent time and project management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with all levels of an organization, including the ability to explain processes and policies effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive materials and information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills a must.
- Experience with UKG Pro, Cognos BI, and Microsoft Power BI preferred.
